Re: diy trailer guide ons those are nice, well thought plan, a little flex and spring back action is great, they will also locate your boat in same spot every time, i have a similar pair only they are store bought.. My boat that i boat had pvc guide ons and they work fine. except one thing is we drilled a hold in the top of both and ran a bungee across, because when you are pulling the trailer the tubing will slap the side of the boat. just a suggestion.. Re: homemade guide-ons i got mine for free at a boat yard that sold trailers. they were matching the boat to my trailer and i asked about guides. they said a few people don't use them and they had a few i could pick from and install when i got home..
