Has anyone added a diy swim platform to their boat? just wondering how it would mount. i know to use 316 ss tubes, just wondering.. i am not spending $1700 on a swim platform, and i want to say that i made it... Jumping off the boat is the easy part, but getting back on can be a huge challenge for both adults and children. this is especially true in the case of a vessel with no swim platform or ladder. boat owners who want their passengers to be able to enjoy swimming more often can buy a pre-made platform or build one with a personal touch.. To make sure the swim platform was level, i used a wood slat as a spacer (3) to make sure it was the same distance below the boat’s rubrail all the way across. don’t use a smartphone app leveler, in case the boat is slightly askew on the trailer. with the platform securely propped up, it’s time to drill..
